So now that we've defined self-care. Here's why it's important to you! Taking the time out for yourself, whether it's to take a bath, meditate, journal, even clean is really important to your mental health. We do things everyday that may be self care and not even realize it. Brushing your teeth, making your bed, making your favorite breakfast...these are all things we do everyday to take care of ourselves.
The important thing is being in the moment, knowing your intention is to take care of yourself, and taking the time to acknowledge the good feelings you're getting while doing it. I'm guilty of going through my routine everyday and not taking the moment to acknowledge these happy feelings I get when I do take the time to do my full skincare regimen, reach my water goal for the day, or even make my bed!
I know I'm biased when I say my favorite self-care moment is when I'm in the bath using SOAKTEA. Taking baths is my form of mediation, sitting in the water, silent, or blasting music I love. It gives me my moment to unwind, relax, and reach the serenity I need to be the best person I can be. I promise you don't have to be using SOAKTEA to self care. I just ask you to be in the moment when doing something you like and acknowledging its benefits to you and how it makes you feel.
Slow down and Self-care y'all, we do it everyday, you just may not realize it
